You take your headrest off, and The Passenger takes its place. Most
headrests sit on two metal posts - press the small release button on
the side of the post collar, pull the headrest straight up, and it
comes out. Then slide The Passenger down over the top of your seat back.
It sits where your headrest was, at the same height a real passenger's
head would be.

That's the whole point of The rider. It doesn't just sit there -
it turns.
It has three modes, switched with one button on the base:
OFF - it sits completely still, like a normal prop. Perfect for the
slow double-take.
SWEEP - the head slowly turns side to side on its own, pausing at
random for a few seconds at each end so it never feels
mechanical or predictable.
TRACK - a motion sensor watches for movement. When someone walks up
to your car, the head turns and looks right at them - and holds.
